The Reuse project is where donated items are received and then sorted into usable quality products, then sold in the Acorn Reuse shop in Trinity. The Reuse project is based over two sites: La Collette and the Acorn Reuse Centre in Trinity.
At La Collette, unwanted goods are received, packed and sent up to our Acorn Reuse shop and stock room in Trinity. Once at Acorn, items are sorted, cleaned and safety-tested before they are put onto the shop floor to be sold to the public. Some items are also distributed to other charities.
Our Reuse shop is a really important part of Acorn as all the money generated from selling donated items is put back into Acorn to help provide ongoing training opportunities for our clients.
